研究员、博士、博士生导师、上海交通大学教授。

1992年博士毕业于华东理工大学化学工程专业,因成果的成功转化,当选为1992年全国十大新闻人物。国家超细粉末工程中心的创始人之一,一九九四年五月受国家教委学科带头人培养计划派遣,到美国宾州州立大学作为高级访问学者。现任上海交通大学生物医学工程学院副院长,国家863新材料领域特种功能材料主题组专家,国家纳米重大专项总体组专家,兼任上海市颗粒学会理事长、中国颗粒学会超细颗粒专业委员会副理事长等。从事纳米材料在肿瘤的个性化治疗方面的应用研究。先后获得上海市科技进步一等奖1次,国家教育部科技进步二等奖1次,高等学校科技发明一等奖1次,在国内外学术期刊上发表了论文180余篇,申请中国发明专利30多项。

主要学术骨干包括:丁显廷(中国中组部青年千人计划获得者,香港求是基金会求是杰出青年奖获得者),叶坚(中组部青年千人计划获得者)。

 

研究方向

1.无机、金属、高分子及其复合纳米颗粒的可控合成;

2.生物大分子,如DNARNA、蛋白质分子与纳米颗粒之间的相互作用研究;

3.纳米材料在肿瘤的个性化治疗及诊疗一体化中的应用研究。


Nano Diagnostic and Theraputic Technology

Prof.Hongchen Gu, M.D., Ph.D

 

Dr. Hongchen Gu is now the professor and director of Nano Biomedical Research Center of Med-X Research Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Hongchen Gu received his Ph. D. in chemical engineering from East China University of Science and Technology. From July 2001 to Janurary 2005, he worked as the Director of Engineering Research Center for Nano Science and Technology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Before this, he was working as the Director of Key Laboratory of Nano Materials, Ministry of Education of P.R.China.

 

 

With more than twenty years study in nano materials area, Professor Gu focused his research on the dispersion of functional nano particles in polymer matrix and bio and clinical application of nano particles. RecentlyDr. Gu leads a group in systhesize superparamanetic nano particles and bio-med applications, such as bio molecular manipulation, hyperthermia and diagnostics.

 

 

In reword for his outstanding research works, Dr.Gu has gained many prizes, incuding Premier Outstanding Scientist Prize, the First class Innovation Prize issued by Shanghai Government, Outstanding Trans-century Young Scientist Prize, etc. The results of his research have been disseminated in over 200 publications and 50 talks throughout the world.

 

 

The main academic backbone team includes: Xianting Ding (The CPC Central Committee Organization Department of young talents plan; Hong Kong "realistic" award for outstanding youth winner), Jian Ye (The CPC Central Committee Organization Department of young talents plan).

 

 

Research interests

1.Controlled synthesis of inorganic, metal, polymer nanoparticles and their composites;

2.Interactions of nanoparticles to macro-biomolecules, such as DNA,RNA and proteins;

3.Applications of nanoparticles for personalized therapy of cancer and theranostics.
